Mesa Custom Machining was founded in 1987 in the garage of Dale Carpenter, a Boeing machinist.
After initially taking on side work, Dale and his wife, Carol, transitioned to running the business full-time. In 1996, Custom Products (CP) was launched as a division of Mesa Custom Machining, focusing on precision manufacturing and performance-driven design.
Over time, CP became a respected name in the paintball industry, holding more than 10 patents and producing:

As the paintball industry evolved, Mesa Custom Machining expanded into the firearm, racing, and consumer goods industries. A commitment to top-of-the-line equipment has always defined the company, with Robodrill, Makino, DMG Mori, and Citizen machines now operating in its 25,000-square-foot production facility.
In 2025, Mesa Custom Machining was acquired by Arizona Manufacturing Diversified Group (AMDG) to ensure its long-term growth. AMDG introduced enhanced systems and processes to strengthen operations and scalability.
Today, Mesa Custom Machining combines advanced software with precision machine tools to deliver a high-quality customer experience. Under AMDG ownership, the company continues expanding into defense, space, energy, and semiconductor industries in support of American reindustrialization.
